Get past Sister of Mercy by throwing bottles to draw her away, avoiding glass, and escaping up the stairs; beat her later by waiting for attack openings, using your firearms and throwable objects, and checking whether you are carrying an SMG. This Hellraiser Revival Sister of Mercy guide covers both the hide and seek encounter and the later arena fight in Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival. After winning, take her heart for Sunny; use the Hellraiser Revival walkthrough to follow the surrounding route.
How do you get past Sister of Mercy in hide and seek?
Use bottle distractions and cover to move while she is away from your route, then reach the stairs and move the obstruction at the top.

- Throw a bottle away from the path you want to take. Wait until she actually moves toward the distraction before crossing. In one attempt, the player had to wait again because she had not started moving.
- Advance between hiding spots instead of rushing. Check the on-screen hidden indication before committing to the next move. One player made better progress after slowing down and using cover.
- Keep looking for another bottle. The player ran out during one crossing and struggled to redirect her. Having another throwable gives you a way to pull her away from your next stretch of the route.

The floor can look like ordinary debris, but glass is the part you need to avoid. One player found it hard to distinguish and attracted her attention through noise. Look over your next stretch before leaving cover, then check that you remain hidden after moving.
Being spotted ended several of one player's attempts, and an early failure restarted the encounter. Treat a red warning as a reason to stop pushing your route and reassess your cover. Racing for a pickup can cost more progress than it saves.

- Reach the top of the stairs and move the obstruction. Once the path opens, run onward. The successful escape continues beyond this point rather than returning to hide and seek.
Should you take the Sister of Mercy inventory upgrade branch?
Take the left branch if you want the coins and inventory pickup; continue toward the escape if getting through the encounter is your priority.
Take the left branch for the pickup

Explore left before finishing the crossing. The coins and inventory pickup identify the branch you are looking for. A player who initially passed it returned, found the pickup worth collecting, and repeated the stealth section to keep it.
Budget for the full escape afterward. That player's attempts required collecting the item and finishing the route in one run, with no save between the detour and the exit. Use bottle distractions on the return crossing too.
Continue toward the stairs for a simpler escape, recommended if you are stuck
Focus on cover, glass, and the stairs instead of adding the detour. This keeps your immediate goal to finishing the crossing. Confirm success by moving the obstruction at the top and continuing out of the stealth section.
How do you beat Sister of Mercy in the boss fight?
Wait for openings as she comes toward you, attack with the weapons and throwable objects you have, and collect arena supplies between attacks.

- Watch her approach before committing. Use the opening to attack instead of turning your attention to a pickup. One player repeatedly lost health because she attacked while he was collecting supplies. After your attack, check her position before reaching for ammunition.

- Collect ammunition when you have room to do so. Shotgun and SMG ammunition appear during the fight. Check your ammunition count after collecting, then return your attention to her. One player saw supplies replenish during a long attempt, so keep checking the arena when you run dry without standing exposed while waiting.

- Use fire when you have it available. The successful combat sequence includes burn damage. Look for her burning to confirm that the fire connected, then keep watching her approach rather than chasing another pickup immediately.
Check inventory space as well as ammunition. One player complained that stored SMG ammo was taking up space when he needed a health kit. Before discarding it, check whether you can use the weapon that goes with it.

Why is the Sister of Mercy SMG fight taking so long?
Check your carried weapons: you may already have the SMG needed to use the ammunition piling up in your inventory.

One player believed he had left the SMG in storage and kept fighting while treating its ammunition as useless clutter. He eventually discovered he was carrying it, used it, and finished the fight. Before repeating a difficult attempt, open your weapon selection and look for the SMG. Seeing it there is your cue to equip it and put that ammunition to work.
The mistake makes the arena look like it is giving you the wrong supplies. Read it as a prompt to check your actual loadout first. You can still use your other firearms and throwable objects, but overlooking a carried weapon leaves a useful option unused.
What do you do after defeating Sister of Mercy?
Take Sister of Mercy's heart and give it to Sunny.

The defeated boss and the defeat achievement mark the end of combat. The player also obtained her whip afterward. Check the new objective before leaving the arena.

The heart-delivery objective tells you your next task: return to Sunny with the heart. If you need to place the names in context, see Hellraiser Revival characters; for the broader narrative, continue with Hellraiser Revival story.
